Kilusang Pinatubo’s take on Noynoy’s Candidacy:
Ninoy died to awaken the Filipino people to regain their freedom.
Cory ended Marcos dictatorial rule and ushered in the pro-people 1987 Constitution and the 1991 Local Government Code to institutionalize it.
However, subsequent administrations only paid lip service to People Power but in fact strengthened and perpetuated elite democracy or the trickle down governance system.
Noynoy’s role is to restore Filipino dignity by revitalizing People Power and institutionally harnessing the people’s talents and energies in self-reliant communities, transforming the present trickle down (pinatulo) patronage-based governance system to a bottom up (pinatubo) one,
